AROMA OF JUDAISM AND THE MEAT OF THE CHURCH

The Pulling Away From Messianic Judaism

Many who have experienced Messianic Judaism have decided over time to leave and either go back to the church or attend a mainstream synagogue (Orthodox, Conservative or Reform).

The answer to WHY varies but usually centers on "not being fed the "MEAT" of the word and so this person decides to go to a church. The person going to synagogue is often brought in by the "sweet aroma of Judaism". The liturgy, deep teachings, the music, the spirit of joy, etc. We are losing many Jews (and gentiles) from our movement because we lack the "sweet aroma and meat".

Please understand I want to see us grow in numbers and understanding but it's just not happening here. The aroma of mainstream Judaism smells great to many that experience (some for the first time) the richness, culture and joy but find this lacking in Messiaic Judaism. This aroma celebrates Moshiach but loses the beauty due to lack of knowledge that Moshiach is here NOW in Messiah Yeshua.

The meat that most churches give us is non-kosher in content and leads to several mistranslations and eventually misleads the Jew, in the body, to assimilate into the homogenous non-Jewish identity.

Is Messianic Judaism the answer and the solution? Sadly NO, not in it's current path. Messianic Judaism NEEDS to come out of a Jewish tree within Jewish roots and sprout Jewish branches. Those who choose to can be grafted into that tree.

Those that are coming to faith today can for the most part only see a non Jewish tree with maybe a sprinkle of Yiddishkeit (Jewishness) thrown in to make it appear Jewish. The roots of this tree are not Jewish! It's roots are 1900+ years of Christian antisemitism, supersessionism, pogroms, holocaust, and yes well meaning Christians sharing the gospel of Jesus to our Jewish people.

The 20th and 21st century approach to witness to the Jew. is not working, 95% or more of Jewish believers are in the church!

Welcome to the silent holocaust!!!!

So what IS the answer? A Jewish movement with the sweet aroma of our roots, deeply connected to our culture and our Torah. A pro-active approach to our walk, incorporating deeper rooted study with digging and drashing into the (kosher) meat. A place to hold true to our faith in the living Torah represented by our Messiah Yeshua and finally celebrating the joy of our creator each and everyday. To be truly a light to the goyim (nations).

Thanks be to the Almighty
